They say the two most important days in life are the one you are born,

and the day you find out why.

My story is not so different than many of you. One of the things I have come to realize, over the years of my personal life and trainings, are just how similar we all are.  The stories of what have shaped us are different, and therefore how we observe is different, however at the core of what is means to be human and live fulfilling lives, we are all very similar.

I started life out in the expected way. Graduated high school, went to college where I earned my Doctorate in Pharmacology, became married, and began to live out my life. I practiced pharmacy, was a loving committed wife, traveled, bought a beautiful home….but I was unhappy.  My marriage was falling apart, I had let my health slip from me, and I had secluded myself to the point of isolation.  In an effort to save my marriage I enrolled in Education For Living, a series of workshops designed to help you become a better observer of yourself and learn ways to take responsibility and control over your own life.  My life began to shift dramatically.  Unfortunately, my marriage ended. However, it granted me the ability to start over, from ground up, and create the life I chose.  After a solo trip abroad, I decided I would chase those things that made me happy.  At that time I was happiest when I was involved in health and wellness and travel.  I had been practicing yoga for about six years and had always wanted to become a yoga instructor.  I immediately signed up for a 200 hour registered yoga teacher training, and completed my certification one year later.  During this period, Education for Living brought Alan Sieler from Australia and Karen White from South Africa to lead the Effective Leadership and Coaching course.  Life lined up in ways to enable me  to enroll and complete this training, and 14 months later I became a certified Ontological Coach.  Currently I am a practicing pharmacist, yoga instructor, and Accredited Ontological Coach.

As part of my training in Education for Living, I had to create a purpose statement.  This brings me back to the day I found out “why”.  "My purpose in life is to empower others to happiness and success through my integrity, support, and perseverance.” This is the aim of my practice.  To create an integrative space blending western and eastern practices, a holistic approach to wellbeing, and the philosophical and practical applications of ontology, to support you to become a better observer of yourself, so that you can create the life you chose; your own masterpiece.
